Still cloudy this morning. But we hear sun is on its way.
We had a nice breakfast at the hotel and on our way to the next place Vilalba. On route, we have visited a few places along the coast.

Playa de Xago - This is a beautiful less crowded beach recommended by the hotel owner. Apparently Woody Allen filmed a scene for "Vicky, Christina, Barcelona" here.

Then, we drove towards further west to this lovely looking fishing village of Cudillero. Small ...

... f Woke to fog and mist but no rain! Can't figure out why every day begins and ends with up hill climbs, but I guess it has something to do with what towns have survived over 1000 years of pilgrims. Galicia is beautiful country with hills, old trees, deep forests (see ferns) and deeper trails (see Dianne on the trail). The book and map show Palas de Rei being 3K closer ...

Portomarin to Eirexe 17 km walk Started in the fog and quite cool. We had bought food for our breakfast- toast, ham, tomato and cheese. It was a long up climb again this am. These towns are not well serviced and few cafés. Not an easy hike but everything is so beautiful, it is worth every step We are staying in a municpal albergue- cost 5€. It ...
