Still cloudy this morning. But we hear sun is on its way.
We had a nice breakfast at the hotel and on our way to the next place Vilalba. On route, we have visited a few places along the coast.

Playa de Xago - This is a beautiful less crowded beach recommended by the hotel owner. Apparently Woody Allen filmed a scene for "Vicky, Christina, Barcelona" here.

Then, we drove towards further west to this lovely looking fishing village of Cudillero. Small ...

... well made and not usually busy.

Vilalba is a small town, again with lots of empty shops, and houses, plus places for rent or sale. It’s sad to see the state of the economy.

The chap had done the full camino last year and I think this had inspired a cheap family holiday. However whether they make it or not without more taxis remains to be seen. Just had a quick look round town. Nothing much to see. No doubt will be eating in hotel. Started with a delicious vegetable stew and then grilled plaice on the ...

There had been predictions for rain today, so we set off with jackets ready. One prediction said showers at 10 am and another at 1 pm.....but it never happened, at least while we were walking. There was a red sunrise, and early in the walk a very threatening black cloud hovered that was certainly raining somewhere, but above us it all lifted and burnt off, and we had a great walk. It was more of the same - very pretty farmland and oak and chestnut woods. One thing that ...

... getting anything to eat. Haven't seen my buddies Mike or Jeff since Ribadeo as they have a set schedule that didn't work for me, but we will end up at the same village on the 9th at Sobrado Dos Monxes. I keep in touch via email and I hope we can cross the finish line together, which would be great. Elizabeth and I have been setting a blistering pace together as I try to keep up to her. A good day ...
