After a nice breakfast we embarked on our second journey to The Prada Museum, this time to go in. We arrived about 9.55 and decided to visit the church nearby first, it was supposed to open at 10am, these proved to be mostly guidelines so at 10.10 we gave up and went to get our tickets. Unfortunately We forgot to take proof of Alan's age so had to pay full price for us both, no the end of the world! We only had to queue for ...

We also saw some matadors costumes....amazing in themselves. We ...

It was lovely to chat on FaceTime and see baby bump, she looked so well and baby is doing well. Sophie and Chris went down to Helston for the day and they all had a fabulous time, we chatted for ages and afterwards we made our way up to the Oasis pub in the town for a quiz night, have to admit we did really well on ...

... walked back to the Real Jardin Botanico (translate yourselves). Plant collection wonderful, but grounds a little dry. Some trees 150 years old. Then time for coffee, then pastry, then feet-cooling at hotel (about 5 pm). Off Plaza Mayor at 7pm with Peter & Vicki (Peter is Jan's brother) who happen to be here too, in the same pub. Went to the Mayor Plaza for dinner. Some paella again, not as good as first day in Madrid. Otherwise a good ...

Caught the fast (270kph) train from Cordoba to Madrid - love the trains, so spacious and smooth. Sol was at the apartment to greet us. This is a tiny apartment but clean and a modern refurbishment. It is situated in the oldest part of the city and easy walking to major sights. We stocked up on breakfast ingredients, wine and beer and settled back to do some reading on what to do in Madrid. Friday dawned cold and grey but we set out on ...
