This is our last day in Valencia so we had a leisurely start to the day but then everyone in Spain does. Nothing opens until 10:00 or later. Many places close between about 3:30 and 5:00 pm and then reopen. They all tend to stay open till 10:00 pm which is about when the sun finally sets.

We got back to the base and the bird ringing people were tagging birds and a school group was just about to get in by boat. Tahlia and I helped with the bird ringing. They put up nets around the reserve to catch the birds in the area and identify which direction they are travelling through the reserve.
