... play in eighths (not quarters) and Sam's school has spent more than 6 weeks working on getting uniforms (they still play in their PE clothes). Overall it's been a great addition for Sam and our whole family.

... people, so I can get a good knowledge of the language. Everywhere you go requires you to speak Spanish, so I am thankful for at least knowing the most useless vocabulary from school- un sacapuntas- a pencil sharpener.
Seriously though, you can kind of get the gist of what Spaniards are saying, but it's difficult not to panic at the sheer speed the words are said!

... I tell him a little bit about life in Australia, somewhere he dreamt of going as a kid but his girlfriend (now wife) did not want him to go. So he never did. He hears my travel stories and aspirations and compares our lives using a really interesting analogy. He says that when you pour water into a bottle using a funnel, most of the water follows a set path all the way from the mouth of the funnel to its end and then enters the bottle. ... my hair texture. That's when I laughed, because I bet they were just staring the whole time wondering what's changed. Rune stepped away to help host lady with some dishes, one of the chicas says to me that he's a fine looking guy. But my brain was a bit slow, so I was like, huh? She says it again, this time Rune was right behind the door and was like, "Thanks." Hahahahha!! The chica blushed so hard, it was so funny.
