... starting off with a visit to the aquarium. Considering this was Supposedly the largest aquarium in all of Europe, we had pretty high expectations. When we reached the exit after about an hour, we were severely disappointed. In order to get our money's worth, we hit up the toy shop and took pictures with the stuffed animals then sat on a step looking at fish for a while.. Before we left we noticed there was a penguin section we didn't know about! We got to see penguins ...
... day was rainy, but we still managed to check out the Casino and Jeremy got a 5 euro chip after playing some roulette.
Our final day in Barcelona we walked to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and surrounding parks, as well as the adjacent botanical garden and Olympic village. We also met two people from Nice when they checked into our apartment.
From the food and cheap drinks to the architecture and the beach, Barcelona was the perfect intro to our trip.

Las Ramblas is the most important street in the city, lined with apartment buildings, museums, souvenir stores, and restaurants.
