Sun, sand and sangria...was It really winter in Europe..? Hell yes I was in Spain ;-) Barcelona first struck me with it's amazing weather and laid back lifestyle. Getting out of bed before midday was unheard of. Life was chilled out and I soaked up every moment. Was it the beach and the sun that kept these Spaniards so chilled or were they constantly mellow from the amazingly cheap and delicious wine? Maybe it was the perfect combination of the two. All I know for ...

We finished the day with a wonderful dinner at a small restaurant in one of the many narrow alleyways in the Old Town area. We then took a long walk through town to our hotel....what a day!

The diet has blown out quite a lot with all this eating, so I need to either crank up the running some more, or get off the bread and tapas and into some salad at some point - we'll see. Date night tomorrow, well actually date day and night - Kate is giving us the day off, so look out, and then it is off to Ibiza. Mmmm that could be even uglier. If we can get out alive after the next week we'll be doing well.
      Over and out.

La MercÚ has been over for a week now and I'm still run down from it. I've realized that since being here I haven't spend one weekend night sitting on the couch, eating Ben and Jerry's from the carton and watching reruns of Law and Order. I've told myself that I will do that this weekend but plans are shaping up and my friend Jess encouraged me to Just-Say-Yes to it all. So I am!
