I am no longer homeless, but I have a fabulous split level, marble tiled apartment at the top of an old building in the middle of Murcia. So close am I to the opposing side of the street I can watch their TVs and hear them snore. Up here in the Gods the sun streams in and the noises of the street are whispers. We were happy to see Dany at the airport after a long day of travel. This morning Maria took us to the hospital on her way to work (to check my INR), we walked to the train station to make a reservation for tomorrow to meet Mike Spiller in Madrid, and caught a tram back to the Esteban's home. Today we are doing laundry and packing for the Camino de Santiago. We plan to stay in Madrid overnight and travel to Pamplona on Sunday. So far we've traveled 14,001 ...

    DAY 14: Tuesday, 16 September

A travel blog entry by calogie on Sep 16, 2014

I woke up a little before 5 am this morning, which meant I had about 4.5 hours sleep. I feel ok now but I will have to be very vigilant about any night time driving tonight. It's now 6.32 am and I am in bed writing this because I can't sleep. The room has been freezing with the aircon on all night. I've turned it down now and it is warming up a bit. Last night we spoke to the receptionist at this hotel about our travel plans for the rest of of driving tour of Spain. We ...
