... then segued into Clapton's "Cocaine", which made me think that things could get interesting. I pulled out my phone with the cigarette lighter app when they played the Stones "Angie" and again for "Sweet Home Alabama". We danced to "Johnnie B Goode" and everybody sang to "Yesterday".

It was a long drive back to Vienna, compounded by having to drive into Budapest to change drivers.

They're already planning the next trip, probably in the fall. We're hooked.

Wednesday Pecs
There is a Leonardo exhibition in Pecs
at the moment. There is no actual Leonardo material but mostly
models and displays of materials from the codices. They have
spectacular models of the flying machine and spring driven
automobile. There was a very little discussion on technique related
to some of the famous paintings but not very much and these were the
aspects I found most interesting. Still it was very interesting

Tuesday 10 June Pecs, Hungary
Have I mentioned before that it is HOT
here. A temperature display in the street says 39. The weather

Zagreb to Pecs

It was very hot and we waited for about an hour and a half. There
were about 6 platforms, out in the sun, all deserted, whilst we waited
with about 6 other passengers, all obviously local, in the shade. I
was a little concerned that the train would arrive and depart before
we could pack up our gear and get out to the appropriate platform,
but that was not a problem. The train arrive much earlier than the
published time and sat out ...
