The Copethorne turned out to be quite the nice resort on the bay. As with the Bay of Islands area, we were visiting during slack. This area is hoping at Christmas through the end of the Kiwi summer. Unfortunately I did have a very strange room mate in Taupo, luckily there was another girl in my room, who also found him rather odd.
