... morning rain clouds. I guess King Neptune and his gang had slept in.

Since we live just sixteen miles across the straits from Victoria, and have visited a few times over the years, we just decided to let " Pat and Mike" take us as far as we could go along the sea wall to Beacon Hill Park. The strong wind was still beating waves onto the beach and us on our “Starboard Beam”. It wasn't a very pleasant walk until we reached the ...

This morning we are leaving on the Washington State Ferry. This is a very popular trip for walk ons and commercial vehicles. We had reservations but we had to be staged. A guy at the park told Ed to arrive early so that he could get a front row seat and be able to see from the RV window. So we get up super early. They stage how ever they wanted no matter the arrival time! Susan and I went back to bed until time to leave, which was delayed due to ...

    Habari! ("Hello" in Swahili)

There are only 37 days left before I start this amazing adventure of a lifetime! I just spent the last three hours watching YouTube videos of past Gap Medics students on placements in Tanzania. I got to see where I'll be staying, who my advisors will be, which doctors I'll be shadowing, what kinds of animals I'll see on the safari, etc, etc. To say I'm excited would be quite the understatement! I know this trip is going to change my life. ...

... cool tho and well worth the $12.

Because that is all I did on my first day in Victoria, I didn't really form any opinions about it. It seemed like a nice city as we drove through it. I am not sure what I was expecting and I am not sure if it lived up to or disappointed me at this early stage.

FYI there are A LOT of photos of Miniature World!!
