So Monday morning we left Bamfield for the next big logging road trek through to Port Renfrew. Not so many "helpful hints and tips" from the passenger seat today - thank goodness, for Graeme's sake!
We knew we needed to head in the direction of Lake Cowichan and plotted our route on the map - well that would all be fine, if there were road …

We left on Sunday morning from our Vancouver hotel heading to the ferry station. Had to be there 45-60 minutes before our 9am ferry departure. So, about 20 miles meant a 40 minute drive. However, on a Sunday morning, not a bad drive. BC Ferries was the company that ran the ferry. What an efficient service! You drive up ...

... last two people to board and the bus left within two minutes of us taking our seats... close call! From Vancouver, we took the bus onto the ferry to Vancouver Island. On the ferry we saw two humpback whales moving through one of the bays. This was my first time ever seeing whales, exciting!

We finally made it to Victoria... again and Lianne met us at the bus station. We all headed back to her place to drop off all our bags. ...
