So Monday morning we left Bamfield for the next big logging road trek through to Port Renfrew. Not so many "helpful hints and tips" from the passenger seat today - thank goodness, for Graeme's sake!

A reset at our hotel then down the block to the Royal British Columbia Museum. The Gold Rush exhibition, where we saw the 1,000,000.00 gold coin. The Beginning of BC, the aboriginals story and Natural History. All in all a very cool museum.
Then to the Blue Crab restaurant for supper. We waited at the bar for ...

Marriott London (rack rate at the time for one bedroom executive club suite - $900)
Was originally booked at another Marriott a couple of blocks away but it was undergoing Renos and they weren't able to honour reservation. They offered a room at the other Marriott - I suggested for the inconvenience that we get upgraded to one bedroom suite with club access and they booked it ...
... but now has been thoroughly gentrified.
On the way there, we stopped off at Christ Church Cathedral for a moment of quiet and meditation. A haven of peace and tranquility in the heart of a beautiful city.
Now after a quick dip in the pool and a satisfying stint in the sauna, we are settling down to our favourite meal of pain, vin, et Boursin, and various other delicacies to round out our hotel room picnic.
... Glacier. From there I had to decide if I wanted to continue the 130km on to Lake Louise in Banff, or just stay in that area, of course I went to Banff. There was plenty to see on the way. First on the list was the Weeping Wall, named for the streams seeping out of it. Then was Glacier Lake and Bow & Crowfoot glaciers.
