Bulls blood? Yes please!
Eger was a livelier affair today, when we turned up late morning for breakfast. The sun was out, so we sat outside and ordered toasted sandwiches (thankful for the menu in English). First stop of the day was Eger Castle. We bought tickets but couldnt work out when the English tour was on, or even if there was one! Ticket lady wasnt much help there either. We walked the ramparts, which have a great view over the town - all red rooves and ...
The Valley of the Beautiful Women
... all year round. Most of the cellars were closed, and we only saw 2 other people wandering around. We were feeling a bit peckish, so we chose a cafe instead of a cellar and vowed to come back earlier tomorrow. We did order some bulls blood wine at the cafe, also a bowl of chips and a cheese platter. Grand total of NZ$10. There was so much cheese on the platter, I was all cheesed out by the end! Hate to think how much it would have cost in NZ. But so much cheese ...

Hungary is famous for its "Bull's blood" wine which has to have a mixture of at least 3 different types of grapes to be considered this type of ...

Carved and gilded oak provides a warm atmosphere where to sit and read (although the books are so old here they can only be handled by gloved hands). The Library was opened in 1793 and today holds over 160,000 volumes of theology, philosophy and social sciences. The ceiling ...
We found an Internet Cafe!
Hello! Jonapot!
We have found some luck and an internet cafe this afternoon. Although I am having trouble trying to figure out how to upload pictures, at least there's another update for you! This keyboard is hard to get used to as well.
On Monday, after arriving at our hotel in Eger, we walked to the bus station to ask the information desk about getting the bus to Aldebro (which we haven't been able to ...
