... be a pottery shop, a small and gloomy place sticking out of the wall like an overgrown hole. I wouldn't have taken a second glance, if not for the two Buddhist lion statues sitting on the shop's window sill sporting a price tag: 1500 yen. They were a steal. I stepped inside looking to purchase, when I found the pottery shop to be no such thing. It was actually a barber shop, but the transaction took place all the same.

... up at a convenience store to buy some drinks and I ended up buying this plum drink that was phenomenal!! Now that we had a drink we headed over to Oktoberfest to check it out. I should note that drinking in the streets is totally normal so don't think we were a sushi wearing gang out to cause trouble aha. Day 1 - Arrived in Fukuoka

Arrived in Fukuoka feeling really excited what lying ahead. Spent much time planning out all the driving routes, places to visit (villages, castles, volcano, gorges etc) and all the scenic locations i read about and of course all the wonderful accommodations with onsen.
Little did i expect what was in store for me not long after touching down in Fukuoka.

I was booked on a bus at 10.30, so had time to pack up before wandering to the bus station, a couple of kilometres away.
