Since our "Becherovka" is one of the most typical and popular drinks in the Czech Republic (of course, besides beer and slivovice :)) we had to make a tour. I still have to write some previous pages but meanwhile in short, an update.
Visiting friends;…old friends/ old old friends/young old friends / family members etc has been my main activity during the last few days and provided me with pleasant/ funny/ emotional/ educational/ interesting times (take your pick of any combination) Last night I arrived home late and went to bed at ...
... and a tower at the lookout which gives a 360 degree view of the surrounding scenery. The tower was built in 1914, and has a lift for those lazy people who don't want to climb the 150 stairs to the top. So bike riding in the morning, mountain climbing this afternoon (hmm, probably hill climbing, but who will contradict me!), as well as climbing the stairs of the tower, and then walking down to the town again ...
... sometimes you just have to grin and bear it!
We visited two spas during our stay - one for a brief massage and mineral water swim, and a second, less traditional beer spa to be soaked in an oak tub of malt, hops, yeast and beer; we literally brewed like beer. To add to the experience we had an hour of unlimited self-serve beer and beer bread to munch on. Beer spa kicked mineral spa's ass!
