Final day of our trip. Only hv time for some city shots. So we started off with the German Governer's Hall. Then the Protestant Church. Super night weather this morning and that really finished our photography trip perfectly.
So this Qing Dao trip really brought lots of chances for me to try out different perspectives at different subjects. The architectures are authentic (you only need to purposely avoid the aluminium window ...
... down the hills, we finally settled on a slightly outward hill...it's only 3:30pm and the sun is already preparing for the day-off......Point to note for the sunset fans, you gotta start early for that in Qing Dao. By 4:30pm the whole sunset process is done and we went for some city sightseeing, christmas trees and decos are all around already, nice lights there.
So today is the day for Peng Lai. The weather wasn't that favourable for shooting today. Bit misty/foggy. So I did focus bit more on the details of the architectures with the 70-300mm zoom and my DC for snapshots.
For anyone who never heard of Peng Lai before. Firstly it's claimed to be one of the prettiest natural scenary in the world. Different seasonal and day-change views, namely the Mirage (
海市蜃楼). Secondly, it's ...

Finally arrived at Yan Tai at 6ish pm..Quickly checkin to a chain hotel, it's just RMB188 per night, superbly cheap. Can't expect lux settings, but good and neat enough for a quick stay.

Spectacular view! And guess what, SNOW!! We never expect to encounter snowing, although temperature is low and we are not in full snow gears, we are burnt with enthusiasm and exercises of walking up the mountain. Didn't feel cold at all!
At night we went shopping in ...
... trick kites. There were thousands of wet people who also braved the treacherous weather to join in the occasion. Many of whom wanted their picture taken with Laurie. Apparently she looked extra foreign and photogenic that day, bright yellow rain coat and all. The biggest spectacle of the morning was witnessing the other Chinese tourists fighting over the free kites being given away throughout the day. This was a brawl in which grown ...
Weifang, China teklife23... Lian. It means beautiful lotus flower...and it almost sounds like Miriam. The director wrote out a nice sentence for me and signed it so I can hang it on the wall. It was a lot of fun to practice the script, although it is really hard to make it look as beautiful as they do. Last night after dinner we went to the park across the street. It still suprises me how active it is. There were tons of families, couples and children, walking, roller skating ...
