The location is great. It's close to major transport lines and within 5 minutes' walk from the park. The staff is friendly and helpful. As far as hotels in New York go, it's also "affordable".

There are some negatives: it's quite noisy and the rooms are very small. However, if you're holidaying in New York you will probably not spend too much time in your room. The breakfast options are limited to in-room service (i.e. very expensive) and the hotel's bar is not good value for money.

Great Location, Tiny, But Comfortable, Room

The location of the Hudson couldn't be better as it is located near Columbus Circle and the Lower West End of Central Park. The hotel itself has an impressive lobby, but very slow elevators, and typically only 2 or 3 of the 8 (I think) that exist. Our room was tiny...and I mean tiny. We had a bed, a nightstand and a small stand with a TV. The bathroom could only fit one person in at a time. However, the price was right....about 149/night plus tax. It is also within a few steps of a Whole Foods Store, where inexpensive lunches and beverages could be purchased, and the subway. I would probably stay there again.
