I was immediately sold on the apartment that I will be renting when I saw a group of Bangladeshis making the most of their one day off a week (Friday) by playing cricket in the field adjacent to where I now live. The apartment itself is extremely comfortable too, which is great.
There is not much more to say about Villingili at this stage. I will explore all of its 500 x 400 metres soon enough.
The Maldives was one of my top dream island destinations (after French Polynesia which we visited for our honeymoon) and I had been secretly waiting for the moment we would arrive there for our whole trip, dreaming of the marvellous snorkelling ahead of us. We were not disappointed, to the contrary!

... all the way out to the deck, a flat screen tv, and two lounge areas. The bathroom is on another level of perfection. There is a glass bottom so you can see the water and whatever else is down there. It also has a couch, flat screen tv and doors out to a hot tub! This place is so cool! Also, we were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of champagne, and fresh fruits waiting for us in the room!

Eeek. We had the whole afternoon free - in a perfectly flat lagoon, and 2 others had brought paddle boards along! I had a go - it's so difficult!! I have no balance at all. Quite fun though!
