... maybe, but I want to give this location it's due. Like many tourists, I often think, what is this place like?

At times it reminds of the Smokies in North Carolina with their thick rhododendron understory, small communities in the Berkshires of New England, or creeks going into the Buffalo River in Arkansas. Gradually I've learned that the bamboo is indeed a unique plant that has made this forest a treasure.

It is interesting to see how the Chinese try to embrace Western culture and implement it into their daily lives, while still grasping to the traditional Chinese ways. Balancing both tradition and modernization seems to be a difficult task.
