Yungu Temple, Huangshan Scenic Spot Huangshan, Anhui, China, 242709, 0559-5586444,0559-5562455
For ages, people can not understand how this huge stone ends up at the tip of the peak and believe the stone has some kind of magic power - fertility. People will bride the stone by stocking coins in a crack and pat the stone. Poor park ranger has to keep cleaning the coins but not taking the coins. It is a brutal task when it is wet, cold and dark.
Huangshan, Anhui, China szachko... people call them pony tail pine because their leaves/branches only grow one direction. For those pine trees grow at the higher altitude areas, people call them Yellow Mountain Pine.
No matter how the tree grows or leaves are heading, their roots are so strong and firm that make those trees grow more generations to come.

So I have just returned from the Yellow Mountain(黄山) trip, and it was amazing!!!
It started with a 12 hour train, which ended up being more of 15 hour booze cruise since they allowed us to take it on the train (What could go wrong?). The funny thing was at the train station we all set off the metal detectors, and when we tried to remove metal objects off us we forgot about, the guards instead just shoved us out the way ...
... to pick up one of a kind memories and gifts to take home. I will definately return to the Tunxi Ancient Street when I go back to Huangshan next year.

... a sheer cliff face that begins at around one thousand five hundred meters high. It then takes you down thousands of steps and through tunnels that take you to the next cliff face and all you have beside you, is of course the cliff face and on the other side (just a few feet) is the thing that is meant to stop you from falling. This is a single hand rail that has so many giant gaps everywhere that if you slipped or tripped ...
Huangshan, Anhui, China eddakath... Taiping Bridge, the East and south Watchtowers of the Song Dynasty, Pagoda of Changqing Temple, and Xinzhou Stonetower. After a bus drive of 33 kilometers, you can get to the beautiful Qiyun Mountain--the sacred Place of Taoism in China. Xu Xiake, a well-known traveller in the Ming Dynasty, had this remark:"the most mysterious scene in the Qiyun Mountain is the flying-down waterfall." Qianlong ...
Tunxi, Anhui, China eddakath... as would be expected, almost entirely shops and overpriced restaurants. We had some greens and butter dish and a good conversation about how the stages of something new (first awe, then annoyance, then acceptance and understanding) for me had begun to pass the first stage as it applied to China in general. Afterwords we took another bus up to the entrance to the mountain park on one of those winding terrifying roads with a cliff on one ...
Huangshan, Anhui, China baphometdemon... Huangshan, however the mountain is about a two hour bus ride away from the mountain. Now around the mountain there is a couple of towns that you can stay at before you climb the mountain. We finally figured this out and climbed on a bus that took us to the town of Tunxi. Supposedly where our hostel was located. However, once we arrived there we were greeted by Mr. Hu who spook fluent English. He tried to convince us that our hostel was bad and ...
Tangkou, China kait... camera doesn't do it justice. We would be walking along and there would be sheer rock faces, a peak with a single awkward tree on it and all set amongst cloud. It took us about 4 hours to walk around the peaks and it was pretty hard yakka so we were happy that Richard's mother declined our Huangshan invitation. Seeing a massive line for the cable-car to go down, we quickly decided to bugger it and take the stairs down ... which ended up being a painful decision (our legs ...
