We decided that a week in Taipei was a bit long, and took a trip down to the Taroko Gorge. It is a very impressive marble gorge in Eastern Taiwan. We were armed with a tourist brochure and sense of adventure and ready to do some walking, as what we wanted to get to was back down the road we had just come up 19kms away.
