... that you can't walk around easily enough. We weren't surprised to see a large queue forming for the obligatory hop on/off bus that seems to be at all the China attractions. We were lucky to be there early as we got to see the panda cubs and their mothers milling around and having their breakfast. It was great to be so close to them in a large natural enclosure. ... for a few hours as there are quite a few enclosures to visit and also a couple of museums which were interesting and we learnt a lot about what they are doing with regards to the research of the species and the breeding programmes! We also saw some Red Panda's but by the time we had got to them in the afternoon they all seemed to be having a nap! It does seem very strange that Giant Panda's are still around because everything seems to go against them! ...

... despite what I heard before I arrived here but though you can search for any thing you want often the page you want can't load and you get a page of Chinese writing saying that Internet Explorer can not display the page. Maybe it is a coincidence but it seems to happen quite a lot.

... eventually find a potential mate they often don't hit it off. Sometimes it's because they're related, sometimes it's because they're gay and sometimes it's because there just aren't that many 'fish in the sea' (only 1,600 pandas in the wild) and they simply don't like each other. Plus, they're lazy so when they do eventually go on a field trip for "friendship and maybe more" they get tired halfway and decide to call it a day. They sleep the rest of the time.

... She–ann). This was worrying a lot of people, because the guide had downplayed it, comparing it with what she thought we were used to, and also because of comments we’d seen on the internet. In fact neither of us has been on a British sleeper, so had nothing to compare it to.

It was actually ok, and I would have enjoyed it, except that the people who asked us to share with them both joined Hughie in a snoring contest! I have to admit they far outsnored ...
