    ... up in rows next to each other. We learned from our guide that the children play seldom outside. That turned out to be the case when we came in. All the children were inside. Some of the children sat or lay in bed staring at the ceiling. A sad sight. A hard reality. We'd bought sweets, balloons and bubbles for the children to play with.     ... quench our thirst. It appeared that Qiang was havingdifficulty drinking. He is born with a cleft lip and cleft palate. His lip isclosed, but the roof of his mouth (palate) is still open. This makes it hard tospeak, but also -as it turns out- hard to drink. Quite messy with a lot of drooling.A straw didn't make things better.     In the afternoon Andy went back to work and Tammy and I took the time to wander around the city. The city has changed a lot and grown, expanding in the south.     We toured a garden which is recognized as the fourth best in China, the owner has give his gardens a rating of "AAAAA" not sure if that is the top score or means he had a severe drinking problem.
