... get a bed of their own. So that is where our day ends. I have a $3 bottle of wine (sorry Dad) and a pack of Oreos waiting for supper - the lights are off and people are snoring already. 41 bands people, Maori performers and management sardined in a train travelling 700km in the dark on 'beds' the like which are only surpassed by those the 2009 band slept in in Kerkrade - fortunately only 1 night this time....perhaps the rocking motion will bring sweet dreams - if not the wine ...

We have two concerts here in Xuzhou. The Music Hall is another stunning building. Slightly smaller than the previous venues but just as impressive. A good audience tonight - again quite cold at the outset but by the end after a double encore and 2 standing ovations we had won them over. Nigel pulled the master ...

... bus trip to the Dezhou Train station where we had an hour wait before boarding the bullet train. The trains run to schedule – no matter what – and it was made very clear to us by our tour guides Jackson and Joan that we needed to get to our carriage (we were in 15 of 16) quickly with all our gear and worry about what we were going to do with it AFTER we were all on and the train was on its way.
