        So this 2night stop over was purely to see the sacred mountain Maji Shan. It turned out to be the nicest food we've had with some really friendly people and some hilarious moments with the English-Chinese barriers.

        Ordering an omelette was hard going, but we managed it (see the story on the food pic).
        Getting a room was also tough.

        ... of our hotel with us when we needed to get a taxi back over 15kms away - whoops! But we made it back.

        All in all, this place clearly sees very few if any Westerners each year - there was a lot of pointing and staring, the moment it hit us how much we stood out was when we walked past 4 Dwarfed kids singing on the street and they were nudging each other and pointing at us - I bet it was nice ...

        ... reception did not speak one word of English ha ha, this was interesting! We asked about a room through a mixture of charades and translated phrases from the back of our book and finally managed to go look at some rooms to see which we would prefer. First one was a full on suite, double bed, bedroom separate to a living area an our own bathroom and shower. Mmmm nice! But it was 16 a night and we were used to paying ...

        ... to come to America someday. We decide then and there to mutually teach each other Chinese and English. I am his English teacher and he is my Chinese teacher.

        After that day, Chen and I frequently hang out. Chen often gives me a call asking me to swing by the office. He occasionally will come pick me up from either my apartment or school and we'll have lunch or dinner together. We often recite vocabulary while he drives me around in his SUV.
