... are more foreigners here, but I still attract quite a bit of attention. On these narrow tracks packed with tourists I go ahead of Sisi to make room for her to pass. When I appear with my height I feel all eyes on me. "There comes a respectable foreigner!" (Lao Wei) "Look how tall!" We got covered in our waterproofs and headed out into ...

This meant that at around lunch time we arrived, soaked, at a random hotel which kindly let us sit in their lobby to eat. They then also gave us directions to our own hotel which they said would take another 3 hours to get to! We set off, a bit tired, but enjoyed the walk and got there after around 2 hours having ...

... took a shower and dried myself with the hairdryer in the bathroom.

For dinner we ventured out to find hot food and the restaurant we saw close to the hotel was closed and the hotel itself was offering a buffet (that didn't look appetizing for almost 200RMB per person! We bought instant noodles (illegally from the store outside our rooms which isn't allowed to sell them) and made them in our room. Then we found Avatar on my iPad and paid a whopping ...
