    ... healing benefits of all the different infusions. The favourite though was the hot beaded spring where we all lay for ages. It was a great temperature and we could try and bury ourselves in the beads like sand. We did all find beads everywhere later though! It was just phenomenal and I think if we didn't have to leave we could've stayed there a whole lot longer. But we did have to leave, we had to run for the last bus ...

So we eventually (with the help of Brendon speaking Chinese!) worked out that we bought tickets there and went into what looked like a cable car building to get a bus to the starting temple from which you walked. From the temple it was indeed then clear which staircase to take! The stairs were steep and unrelenting; suddenly the "only 15km" seemed huge.     ... point, we climbed to where the chains were and the wind was blowing the clouds and fog all over the place and any dry patches left on us turned into mini lakes... It was absolutely stunning. There were little locks hooked to the chains and they had icy drops all over them. It was so beautiful. The mist and fog made it all so magical. I am so lucky my phone didn't get ruined. It was so wet, but I couldn't put it away... I didn't want to miss any photos. ...

    ... we ended up passing shopping malls and movie theaters on the way to the ancient town center in a city of 1 million plus people, but this village really did fit the bill.     ... to walk back downwards, which was nice for we could see many beautiful landscapes but was also tiring. At some point it started raining and it didn't stop. Walking only down, I felt like I was in a kind of trance. When we were finally down we took the bus back to the Huangshan station and walked from there to the hostel while the rain was pouring down on us..
