- On Taoyuan airport a Jumbo jet parked at the gangway was lifted 50 cm off the ground by the wind

- The 900ton damper in Taipei 101, one of the world highest buildings moved the most ever for hours - up to one meter.

... there is an air conditioner out there! I am very surprised that they came that fast considering this is their BUSY season!!
I guess my landlord or better yet his wife, likes that blue from my previous room because my new room is also that lovely shade of blue, good thing I like it! My room is pretty much as big as the last one, just differently shaped. They don't really have closets here, just wardrobes and luckily mine is nice ...

After that we headed to the TV station for a tour, which the kids loved, as they saw themselves on TV! Then after lunch we spent some time at the Palace museum - it was very crowded, so really hard to keep an eye on everyone, and somewhat nerve-wracking when the kids were given free time there. We eventually got them all back again though..

... bus is not very frequent, a few in the early morning and then again in the afternoon.

The area around Feitsui Dam is wonderful for hiking an biking. Many trails mixed with small country roads, rolling green hills, lake view, few buildings, tea fields ( one place special famous as Tea Garden - Cha Yuan ) and all this combined by great views.

This morning we headed up the road from the hotel to the Martyr's Shrine to witness the changing of the guard ceremony. When I was here last I witnessed a military performance of some sorts all by accident somewhere in town, but this seemed to be more of a spectacle. Our bus driver was so sweet. "Welcome to my bus" he said several times over the bus' loud speaker system. ...
