So today, I woke up at 6.30am...over an hour before the alarm, feeling umm...not quite my normal self shall we say... To make it worse, once I was awake, I was awake, and that was that. I tossed and I turned, and downed a ridiculous amount of water, as we had planned to go on a free walking tour of Budapest at 10.30am. After a lovely and much needed breakfast, and bidding a final farewell to Ben, we headed out, getting lost on route and turning around ...

... worked and opened their own place. It was absolutely amazing to the point that we were all sharing bites just so we could try everything they had. We then went back to the hostel to book our tickets for a room escape game with our Finnish friend Aki and an Aussie girl Justine. Ideally we wanted to do it around 6:00pm so we would have time to go to the Bath-house but the only time available ...

Leaving Vienna early in the morning to catch our train, we arrived in Budapest mid afternoon. We made the short walk from the train station to our hostel where we checked in and headed out to explore. Just a few blocks away was Hero Square which had statues of men on horseback who were the ones ...

We left Prague by the Scenic coach right on 8.30am, stopped for a pee (tea) break around 11 and Lunch at Bratislava at 1, before driving thru to Budapest, it was so exciting to see where we would be spending the next 15 days. I could really get use to this, everything is provided, washing, ironing and of course cooking, even the contents of the mini bar is complimentary, our cabin is small but has a balcony with the most stunning view ...

    Buda vs. Pest

Fourth Stop: Budapest, Hungary. In Budapest we learned that there are two parts to the city separated by the river, Buda and Pest. On the Buda side are the Citadel, Castle Hill in the Castle District, the Royal Palace and Matthias Church. There are also other older attractions such as Fisherman's Bastion, the old Gellert Spa (bathhouse), a chapel built in to the rock cliffs, St. Stephens Basilica, and The (0) Zero Stone which is the point ...
