... a casino just down the road from the hotel. So we got semi dressed up (ie I wore what I wore all day but added lipstick) and headed out. I love the casino but it also makes me nervous, so I usually just watch for a while before I'm game enough to play. Eventually I did, although we couldn't find any blackjack tables that wern't full, so it was roulette all night. I was doing pretty well ...

Before Saskatchewan was the land of Hockey, it was a large hub of the fur trade. Before that, it was the land of the First Nation people. And well before that, it was the land of the dinosaur.

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum lets you explore all this history and beauty. It's a fascinating way to spend a fall morning.

... sandwiches, choc brownies, blondies, quiches, the famed caramel apple pie and a 3 layered birthday cake covered with coconut cream and "snowboarding ninjas"decoration. For an afternoon tea, there was not much tea consumed but all had a great time and bed was a delight around 10.00. Big day, big week.

We used PriceLine last night (our first time to use it) to get a room in Regina. Hotel rooms up here in Canada are expensive - they tend to start at $125 a night and go up from there! So we gave it a try and ended up with a TraveLodge. I'm used to TraveLodge being a low end place, but this is not! The hotel rooms are set up in a square around a central pool area, and ...
