We left Niagara Falls via the Rainbow Bridge into Niagara Falls, New York. We didn't spend anytime there, but from what I saw the U.S. side of Niagara Falls is definitely the ugly step sister to the Canadian side. :) Road tolls seem to be the norm here. ... This trip across the country would not have been as awesome as it was without you.

Mostly I would like to thank my amazing husband, Phil. Thank you for hauling my butt across the country on your motorcycle and challenging me to do things I think I can't do. I had a fantastic trip and hope we continue to have adventures like these together.

A lot -- but not all -- of our final days revolved around fine food.

We headed south again to hike in the Rachel Carson Wildlife Preserve and, finding that too brief of an outing, stopped next door at the Laudholm Farm. These adjacent lands are now protected as wildlife preserves, although our visit was ill timed ...

... I couldn't fly out of Portland without paying $500 for a ticket that's usually $80. I took a cab to the bus/train station, and rode a bus for 2 hours to Boston airport. The ride in was really pretty, because it was dark and I could see the downtown skyline all lit up. I booked a 7am flight and now I wait..... No sleep for me tonight! I tried out their creepy rocking chair hallway. It was just uncomfortable and ...
