It was time to leave the Kenai Peninsula. The drive back to Anchorage through the Western Plain was generally sunny, but heavy cloud and drizzle sat over the mountains. Then traveling the Seward Highway and along the Turnagain Inlet was in fairly clear conditions allowing for some good views.

The return journey was sunnier & the fog had lifted so we could see the tops of the Kenai & Chugach mountains, in addition to which the view of the Spencer Glacier was uninterrupted & magnificent.
Whenever the engineer in the engine saw wildlife he radioed through to the guide & slowed or stopped so that we all had a chance to see & photograph it.

Eating room service in the hot tub whilst watching tv :) NEVER EVER leave Vegas on a 7am flight. We had to take turns puking at the airport while the other watched the bags :( Do! It was a great flight - and it was noticeably different than the domestic flights we have traveled on previously. No one brought bags of fast food or snacks on board, and they served two complete meals and snacks without asking for money. The hotel has seen better days, but is quite sufficent as a stop over. Its big advantage is its central location.
