Glad to get off the plane! Took the Maglev train (430km/h) to Julie's apartment. Went out for little dragons & Tsingtao (crawfish & beer) - my dream meal! Took a tour of the surrounding area. The traffic is crazy. Cars, skooters, bikes, & people everywhere, seemingly going wherever & whenever they want. We went into a couple of amazing malls. It's a shoppers paradise here. Finished the night with some delicious chinese dumplings. Very impressed so far!

At the check in counter we are told that unbeknownst to us, our flight on Air India had somehow been shifted to Thai airways, and that while our information was in the computer, we had to have a paper ticket to board the flight.
