    I was plagued by problems this trip: Comcast screwing up access to my computer at home, a virus killing my laptop, flooding in the Southwest, flash floods in Colorado., hotels with terrible Internet connections.     ... for a special occasion - I guess we were it!

    We sit up and chat late into the night about our travels and our rafting video.

    I call my lovely Louise for a long awaited chat and send James a text from mum. All is well back home.

    To our fan base - apologies for not getting the blog out sooner. A combination of too busy having fun, too tired, no reception, you get the picture. Remember no news is good news, so don't worry.

    Today is May 20, a month before our departure date! Sometimes, I wish it was here sooner but at other times I'm glad it's not. Once we go over this week and enter June, time will fly like crazy. And I will feel panic settling in as I try to make sure I have everything in order at home, packing is done and good to go. Then I will be able to breathe a sign of relief ...

    ... don't bother to visit...nothing to see here!

    8. Rio Grande - Another place all birders need to visit. No where else can you watch Green Jays and watch the sun rise to the cacophony of Plain Chachalacas. Just be careful here as it seems like every turn takes you to a border crossing.

    9. Armadillos are cool critters!

    10. Drinking 3 RedBulls/day for 6 days ultimately yeilds no further energy effects!

    ... Joint Strike Fighter, and F-14 were so cool. Samantha dug the Blackbird (she must have seen it somewhere else before, but otherwise the kids just tolerated my presence and instead were happy to have lots of empty space where they could run around.

    Back to the Cessna for the photo opp. Make Grandpa proud! After that it was a quick mosey through the rest of the hangar. ...
