... them directly. For those who know me, this small hic-cup can become a major constriction of the air passages (i.e. lump in my throat or a lump in my oatmeal).

The time allotted between planes was less than 90 minutes. We already knew where Delta was landing (terminal) and exactly the terminal Korean Air utilized but...how long would it take to acquire boarding passes (especially when ...
Atlanta Airport, Georgia, United States gonzdomAfter a very very long drive, we finally made it to our first Hotel in Twin City Georgia just right outside of Valdosta at 4:00 AM Eastern Time. Our GPS system told us that we would arrive at 4:03 and we pulled in the parking lot at exactly 4:03. The kids did really good in the car, we were very thankful for that. We stopped and ate Cracker Barrell in Kentucky. We ate with the flies in the restaurant and they were driving everybody ...
Twin City, Georgia, United States schubbefamily
Our story begins roughly 700 miles from home in a small town in Georgia. This was the farthest from home Seth and I had ever lived. I lived in Mississippi from a brief few months, but it was never home. When I was dismissed from school every afternoon, I never got the feeling that I was "going home." Louisiana is home to me.
Seth left around a week before I was able to. There were so many things that had to be done before I ...
Millen, Georgia, United States sethnjessnobles... 40 across to US 1 and then headed north, stopping in Waycross for fuel. Since Hurricane Ike hit Texas at the weekend, fuel prices have been going up, despite assurances from the Texan authorities that there are no problems with supply and distribution. It's basically just opportunism and greed on the part of the fuel station owners. And so for the first time since we entered South Dakota some weeks ago, we paid over $4 a gallon for unleaded today.

Further north ...
Reidsville, Georgia, United States thebusmonkeysNICK - I had Georgia on my mind today so we went to Atlanta. Driving into the city centres is becoming a little bit easier as we go along and we soon found ourselves parked right outside the park built to commemorate the city's hosting of the 1996 Olympic Games. Very impressive, too. As with most parks we have found, there is a bandstand just inside the perimeter where there is always live music playing at lunchtime. And this was no exception. It ...

Statesboro, Georgia, United States roundamerica... photos along the way. We saw some expressions of patriotism, but nowhere near what we all saw after 9/11. Dacula and Madison showed the greatest patriotism. (Round America Photos from Dacula Georgia) We briefly visited the towns of Auburn, Barrow City, Winder, and Statesboro.
