As we cycled down to the Dublin BART station on the Iron Horse Trail (a dedicated 40 mile route just for walkers, horse riders and cyclists), we stopped off at the GE offices in San Ramon to take a look at the new Design Centre, which was a pretty impressive space that can be configured for multiple uses.     ... feet doesn't seem like much, especially after the 7,000, 8,000 10,000 foot elevations we saw in Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. But these were steep and frequent. Repeated instances of 5 and 6 percent grades, both up and down. We stopped at the Redwood National Park visitor center, where, oddly enough, we got a nice view of a tidal marsh, and we took a short detour on the Avenue of the Giants, where the redwoods are big enough in diameter to drive a truck through.
