... a bit of shopping on rue St Cathrine where I bought some cute shoes from Urban Outfitters in the sale for 10$, and Mel bought some too as hers were rubbing. After dropping our things at the hostel we found the energy to head back out again, stopping off for some frozen yoghurt and bubble tea (Toha flavoured, some kind of fruit, very nice!) and spending a few hours at the jazz festival. To put it mildly, I'm not exactly a morning person. So you might think that after all these years of travel, I would've figured out not to book 6:30am flights. But that would assume a level of intelligence that is, evidently, beyond me. The early flight was hundreds of dollars cheaper, and therefore worth the 4am wake-up call... not to mention the $45 cab ...
This will be the least exciting of our blogs as today we are in transit from Montreal to New York City.
It's a much longer journey than we first anticipated as New York is only actually about 6 hours drive from Montreal, however, due to taking the train it is going to take us a whopping 10 HOURS!
