... It has been 90 degrees with 50% humidity while my ideal riding temperature is 60 and dry. My pace in the mornings has been 13-14mph but from noon-5 it drops to 5-7mph. Part of it is that I am starting to hit hills but the hills are harder with the heat because my energy is totally sapped. I am drinking 8+ liters of water a day and still constantly have a dehydration head ache. It isn't possible to drink anymore without throwing up. It wasn’t really raining, but the mist was so thick that it was falling out of the trees at a pretty steady rain (with very large drops).

... restaurant (one of the best meals I've had on this trip). They also have dog park, which was quite a contrast to Lexington, about 1/4 acre on a busy street downtown. But it was a dog park, so we checked it out and ended up having a lovely chat with Neddy Arevelo, percussionist for Donna the Buffalo (a festival band I've heard of but know nothing about). You meet the most interesting people at the dog park. His dog Beast was ...
