... screaming out of excitement that she sees a black bear coming out of the forest near the road next to her window! Of course neither of us saw it, so we turned around and sure enough by the time we got back, there was a line of cars stopped at that spot in the road and pointing to where she said she saw it. When we got there, it was gone, but we're so happy she was able to spot it!

After stopping at a few more overlooks, we saw a sign for Dark Hollow Falls ...

Since it turned out to be a beautiful day and didn't rain as we heard it was going to do, Caitlyn did a Rope Adventure! We're so happy that she overcame a few fears and didn't give up on a few of the more difficult obstacles. She took her time and did it! It was really great to see her so high up in the air and having such a great time. She spent almost an hour up there!

After sleeping in for once, we headed out after a quick brunch to Luray Caverns! We remembered to grab the jackets but really didn't need them inside the caverns. Caitlyn probably needed hers though. It was pretty awesome to see some of Mother Nature's hidden work! DD loved hearing the organ 'play' the stalactites!

... elsewhere. After a measly 2 and half hours on the road i told Les i needed to lay down so we ended the drive early and booked a room in Harrisonburg, Virgina (College Town, Party Time). Once we were checked into the hotel my brain tumor felt better so we walked across the road to see the Formula 1 film "Rush". Which I give a 8 out of 10.

Dinner was spent at the "Texas Roadhouse". Me and Les shared a 22oz Porterhouse steak which ...

... We followed rivers and streams, saw bridges and waterfalls, passed coal processing facilities and lumber mills and all of it was amazing. The West Virginia license plate reads "Wild, Wonderful" and that's an understatement. This is definitely a place I will come back to. The communities I drove through were a mix, from prosperous to poor and everything in between.
