Airborne by 1025 Zurich time, mist soon engulfing the plane. Able to charge the computer. Some warm nuts [shut up, Trav] and the bar was open before 1115 with a gin and tonic. French farmlands appeared on a rare look out, Caen and Bayeux in the neighbourhood.

Lunch linen at 1130. 'Unwind' and 'Decades' provided the aural entertainment aboard the 767-300. It was a very good meal. Had a pinot grigio with the appetizer and tried the Ranch 32 with ...

... I forgot to mention, Beth stayed at the Pipe's Saturday night too.

We drove home and after chatting for a bit, the others had their customary Sunday afternoon nap. Ash has lent me a small suitcase for LA - sadly I've had to give up on the backpack that was going to give me so many muscles. It's too heavy to be sustainable, and I'm sick of taking panadol for my sore neck. I spent the afternoon re-packing and doing some Elijah study.

Stern talking to Tom, total lack in confidence... I had memorized the map of our escape route from the city just in case he tried any funny business...

Tom seemed to have got over the canyoning problems and once on the expressway performed without a hitch..
I even began to breathe normally and we were still on talking terms.. all was well..

Traffic was fairly light so the trip was pretty quick. I think the tab was going to be 160 MP but I gave him 200 MP. I was dropped off opposite the Air Canada check-in desk at Gate F1. It was going really slowly, especially with non-Canuck passports.

Oh joy! The flight from Toronto had to return due to mechanical conditions. 1340 departure is now tentatively 1645. I checked ...
