57 DAYS AND COUNTING

My dear friends: It's getting colder in Canada and my thoughts are wandering to warmer climes. On January 12/2010, I fly to Managua, Nicaragua and then work my way north ending up in Cancun, Mexico. From there, I fly to join many members of the Gaudun family in Daytona Beach. If you would rather not get notifications of my travel blogs just send a brief "no thank you" to this travelpod . No problem. Hasta la vista baby. Steve

Everyone is getting very excited.
We've upgraded our camera and hope to be posting some nice pictures, and maybe even some video on this site.
As we finish a location, we will let you know where we stayed, provide some pictures and also fill you in on the activities we did in the area.

Day 104 Niagara Falls - Toronto

... left and then turn right and follow our nose, Gee! great idea except the road narrowed (warning no trucks, We decided the Castle is a car for today!) and it twisted around a little, but at least it was sealed. J We continued on this for a while until it came to a cross intersection and the road we were on narrows some more, a decision was made to turn right, just because the road appeared more inviting. We did this and travelled a short distance with ...

Buildings from different epochs are aligned side by side and space becomes an imaginary territory where chaos prevails." (AGH's description of the installation)   We found it especially interesting that the VW logo on the front of the bus is upside down. When Ariel went on a tour of the gallery recently on a field trip, one of his art ...

... Slov". I posited this to a friend. "Oh yeah, what about Slovenia?" he asked. "Yup". "Slovakia?" "Check". "No, Slovakia. They're two different countries now, you know." "Yeah, I meant 'check' as in 'got it'." "Okay. Hmm, what about . . . um . . . Slovnavia?". "Doesn't exist." "Well, I guess you're right then." Further research into Slovenia encouraged me to actually fly to Trieste, Italy, which is right on the Slovenian border, then a quick drive ...

It's not the mall, it doesn't just close...

Well OK, on September 11 I found myself in Canada. I wasn't planning on being there, but there I was. A little background: I was on Singapore Airlines Flight 36 from Amsterdam to Chicago. We were scheduled to land just after 10am on September 11th. We were about 45 minutes late pushing back from the gate in Amsterdam, which turned out to be extremely lucky. I was one of the first to notice that the satellite display on board, which shows things like ...
