... has been absolutely spectacular. Last time I was here I remember having to stop at LLBean to buy a t-shirt, because even though it was early November it was sunny and in the 70s and I was not prepared. This visit was almost as nice, just a little bit cooler, but sunny and gorgeous. I think Portland likes me and wants to show off.

This morning started out at a 'brisk' 42 degrees. We've had such a mild fall in NYC this year, it was a little shocking. At first I thought it was raining but then I realized we were just getting wet because we were actually standing in the cloud. After the great exercise, Brian decided to make homemade pasta. Tony and Michelle had a pasta maker and Brian showed them his technique for making pasta from scratch in a very short amount of time. We made two types of sauce: a tomato based sauce and a pesto. Both were delicious.
Looking at the pictures I took, I wish I had taken one of David! =(
