We finally reached Searsport (just short of Belfast) under heavy pea soup fog - so much for coming here for the views! ... We even saw some sort of huge web on a lot of the trees which made it more like a scene from one of Stephen King's books. Lots of bugs hitting our wind shield along this route, and we even passed a few wild turkeys. Saw lots of bikes as we approached Bangor, but no one had helmets as Maine is one of those states with "no helmet laws'. Great day all around. Traveled about 600 km today. Hope to make it to Lincoln, New Hampshire ...
