... desert later in the evening. All in all we could not have asked for friendlier and more accommodating people. During our Northern American travels we have experienced such friendliness and more than any of our previous trips.

... amazed by the competence, or lack of, of the general population. Today was no exception. A few near misses and a bump (none involving us thank goodness) and a huge number of semis, as usual. The speed the semis travel at is somewhat concerning and the photo is of a 'house' moving at the speed of 100kms+. ... trout, fries and cucumber/yogurt with dill. Not sure what I was expecting but certainly not the head and bones in the fish! Fries excellent! Pat had "Pirates" soup which was a broth based salmon soup that he said was good. Our guide says you need at least a week in Gdansk and three months in Poland! August 30th, Oslo Norway. 90 min drive through the countryside, past some small fjords, wheat farms and the Kings summer home on a milk farm. Saw the royal cows! Hadeland glassworks ...
