We made it! Over 44,500 miles and thirty countries in 254 days. So, many thanks to those who were so encouraging and to those whose expertise and experience helped us get ready. And thank you to everyone who was so generous in giving us a comfortable bed and a home cooked meal. And thanks for allowing me to share the trip with you. It added a new dimension to the odyssey.

... the river the water was murky and you couldn't see your feet but on the plus side it was warm! The current was so strong that you basically could just float and you'd move along at quite a quick pace. We only floated onto the next spring which took no time at all so we exited the river and got out of the springs to shower and warm up.
