      ... and just so you know, I have the best mother in the world.

      We filled up with gas in Ashland and then took I-95 north to route 17 in Fredricksburg. Route 17 is the scenic route that heads into the mountains of Virginia. I was already bored out of my gourd before we hit I-81 in Winchester. Buddy was ready for a morning nap so I drove again...and didn't wreck this ...

      ... for a boat ride to Long Island, Maine. It was a wonderful day. Wednesday we were back in Fryeburg having a wonderful lunch with Bill and Barbara Lawrence. On the way home we stopped at Weston''s for strawberries and maple syrup.

      ... warnings, which included: do not go to a hospital or Dr. unless it is really dire and no matter what, "do not let them stick us with a needle." So basically we have to be our own Drs. We ended up receiving Yellow Fever, Hepatitis and Typhoid vaccines, along with prescriptions for elevation sickness, antibiotics, malaria, motion sickness and probiotics. ...

      What a difference a day can make. Woke up to a hot and humid 26 degrees. No rain or heated gear today. We started heading south on route 91 and then across green mountain forest range in Vermont. This road made up for the bad road and night driving last night. Great pavement, lots of twisties and very little traffic. Too hot to stop and take pics because temp on bike was 31 before the humidity. Some of the trees are starting to turn a brilliant red.
