... you cross the border, the land flattens out, the highway gets rougher, the ditches are full of trees and weeds and the road signs are all in French. Luckily, we know enough to understand simple words BUT our GPS isn’t bilingual so the phrases and enunciation are hilarious.
· After a 1 hour drive, we reached downtown Montreal but the unilingual atmosphere is ...
Awoke after dropping Zaney at the Bus Terminal in Cornwall to return to Montreal. Walking down Tollgate rd. I found some strikers from the Corporate Entity "Drive Test"...it seems licence aquisition is not a gov run industry anymore...Hmmm. Will have to investigate further. In Toronto...
After work, I met up with Dave at Pub 101 and then we waited for Sylvain to show up.
When he got there, he informed us that Ryan had to work in Perth today, so he was letting us use his car to drive to Cornwall. Only one problem though, the little Jetta is a standard, and only one of us knows how to drive standard. The guy with the expired international driver's license.
Sylvain's work permit will expire tomorrow, so we have no choice, we have to drive ...
... the next hill Emily's chain fell off AGAIN, but Dave saved the day again! By now it was getting close to 8 o'clock and we were getting a little concerned.
We got going again and Alexis and Emily got a little head of us so they stopped in front of a house and waited for us. There were people sitting out on the front porch and a lady called out asking if they were camping for the night. They said we were looking for a ...
... Alexis and Carmen swam with their sports bras on under their swimsuits so when they hopped back on the bikes and started off again the breeze kept them cool. Unfortunately it only worked for about 20 minutes though because it was so hot!
We stopped at an Amish farm stand and the lady there had three little kids that clung to her skirts and peeked out at us. Very cute. We've ordered some sandwhices at a ...
... in the dinner rush.
Near 8:30 p.m. we pulled into Cornwall's Ramada Inn. A huge wedding party spilled out of the lobby into the parking lot as I found a parking space for Googoo and went in to get our room keys. They were taking photos of the bride in the decorative hotel lobby.
There was still time for Olivia and I to enjoy the large, indoor swimming pool, and a light snack before bed.
Overall, a very satisfying day.

The weather has finally cleared although the temps still don't feel like summer. With enough clothes on it was a good riding day. I made it to both Ausable Chasm and High Falls Gorge. Both places are on the Ausable River and Rt. 86 follows the river for quite a few miles making for a beautiful drive through the Adirondacks. There are many towns along the way, but all are small and quaint. Lake ...
Massena, New York, United States wcarverI had good rest last night. Must have been the rain on the roof. I didn't get up till almost 9 this morning. The sun was out and it looked like a very nice day for a ride. I was going to Ausable Chasm and High Falls Gorge. They are located within 10 miles of each other and about 95 miles from where I’m staying. I got a little over ...
Massena, New York, United States wcarver... oh yeah - it's also happens to be a tiny Etiopian restaurant. Excellent. At this point, the Med students are trying to resist the temptation of a night out in the Ottawa Market, as is the roomate. "Leave you car back at our place", "you can crash on the couch with Shannon", "what time is our lab tomorrow? not till 2?". I can see our night is set. Soon after it was off to The Dominion (aka "the Dom") for peanut races and ...
