... to yet another sector of the old town. Both towns also have an attractive small harbor, mostly occupied by small fishing boats. ... with bullet holes and one side is open...it definitely is a reminder of what the city has endured over the past 30 years.

Heading back towards the Corniche, we found Bay Rock Cafe overlooking Pigeon Rocks and settled in with more mezze and cold lemon and mint juice. What was on the mezze menu? White Cheese and Thyme salad and Moutabal.

Sunset was amazing over the rock formation that hugs the coast as the sun slowly dipped into the mediterraean sea.

... at the ancient art of negotiation! I still think I paid too much but oh well! The girl at the shop skillfully wrote what I dictated to her on the carvings. It was pretty awesome...check out the photos. I finally emerged in a pseudo-Moses fashion with two cedars instead of blocks of stone. Another memorable shot.

From there we headed further up the mountain to get to the highest summit we could reach by car. It was really windy but I got on ...

Hi all,

Last I posted I was headed back to Nounou's house for dinner and it was a delicios spread of traditional Lebanese food. Funny thing was auntie Nounou assumed I didn't know the food but of course I knew it all! My mom makes all of them :) Nounou's cooking was delicious! I ate and ate and ate...I am already thinking about another P90X round as soon as I get home...

After dinner I was so tired (it was only 11PM) that ...

Hi Everyone,

After 3 connections and 24 straight hours of travel I have arrived safely in Beruit! Aunt Nounou was there at the airport but unfortunately, neither of us recognized each other. After walking around and staring at people awkwardly for awhile, we finally did that too each other and realized who is who!

I arrived late in the day so we haven't done any sites today. Beruit has a very Euro look and feel from what I can tell so ...
