This is our second post for today, a collection of "interesting" and mostly random characters, (except Dolly and Katie) that attended Graduation at HSU. I know this may not be "politically correct," but I'm not either. So, sit back and enjoy the ride.
Oh, by the way for plant lovers, I'll share some plants that I found interesting during our tour of the various labs and greenhouses tomorrow.
... lemonade. Following the reception, we toured the Wildlife Building and went through the various classrooms.
They have, without a doubt, the BEST animal displays I have ever seen. Truly expert taxidermy for each species. Any critter you could imagine is on display - and very tastefully done with their common and scientific names. Birds, mammals and fish (we didn't see the fish displays as they were not open) are used ...

... he left I was somehow picked up. This would be my most sketchy Ride of the trip. I was pick up by a young couple from the area. The guy driving was a serious chain smoker. The second one went out, he would light up another one. In the time I was with them he lit up at least 5! They were looking to get a hotel room for the night up in Arcata. The problem was they needed a valid ID to do it. They asked me after bit if I had an ID and would be willing ...
... to look out the window when we're going through some particularly amazing scenery, they have also been patient, helpful, and understanding when things have gone awry.
Thursday we will see the Redwoods and if all goes well, have some swim time at a beach. We'll be spending our last night in Eugene before the final push to Bothell.
