      ... for an hour or so, kept good visual on Pamela to see how she was progressing. Coffee at arvo tea time because it was that time, and 1700 was time for drinks happy hour, most of our mob were there so I enjoyed a nice Sprite, over here they do not know what a lemonade is, I soon taught them.
      I went back to the cabin to get spruced up for Tea, then met up with the other 4, and enjoyed the lovely crayfish that Antonio had prepared for me ...

      ... Mile 0 post which is the start of the Canada 1 highway from side to side over many thousand miles.

      Arrived at the Royal Scot Hotel to be piped in by a blooming Bag piper. Too tired to do a fling for him.!!!

      Only short walk (one block) from main harbour and all the shops etc so we have all day here tomorrow to explore.

      ... named after the Queen (well, what wasn't), it was and still is the capital of the Canadian province of British Columbia. It used to be the main commercial centre of the British presence west of the Rockies until the new train line strangely couldn't cross the water, and terminated at a little settlement on the mainland called Vancouver.

      ... to deposit the bike boxes. No one seemed to be on duty there. Oh, oh, it was a shift change and there was much cheek kissing between the departing staff and the incoming. Finally we offload the faithful brutes, head outside and sprint to the bus that is just starting to pull away from the curb, banging on the door. Did I mention it was a hot day?
