... After some quality time hanging out and catching up with the soon to be newlyweds, soon to be going to bed at 9pm so they can go to the sale at Macy's in the morning to get a new bedspread couple, it was time to go. Next up - a visit with another buddy of mine on the west coast of Florida, who also just got engaged. They must have both been drinking that "special kool-aid"
Fort Pierce, Florida, United States idmartel... water was perfect. As dawn was breaking a storm to our starboard was kicking up. The storm cloud was silhouetted against the lighting sky. It looked just like a huge French poodle - I'm not kidding. I ask Dave - "Does that storm look like poodle?" and he confirmed it did. In the poodle's belly was the storm cell kicking but.

We arrived safely in Ft Pierce at 6:30 AM. I kept looking around for the Coast Guard expecting we'd be boarded. I had ...
Fort Pierce, Florida, United States takinbetz... nights to get there. Once on the road, Andy and I were happy and just kept on trucking. We decided to stay at the "Flying J" Truck Stop Plaza in Fort Pierce. I checked the trusty GPS and found a State Park nearby where we could gain access to the beach! On our way to the beach we went by a County Park called "Pepper Park". It looked uncomplicated, free and RV friendly. We pulled in, walked over the boardwalk to a fantastic beach!! All ...
Fort Pierce, Florida, United States jodieandandy... to Joyce and Fred's house for dinner on Saturday 21st. We met Joyce and Fred in the Keys traveling in the same RV as we have. We all got on together like we have known each other for years and years. They owned and operated a successful Marina on Rhode Island before retiring to Florida a few years ago. They are an amazing wealth of information for us about boats, engines, business, life in general and it turns out....art. As I took the ...

(To my almost old-enough siblings at home, I'll share more with you when you're just a tad bit older, or when Dad's not listening...Muah Daddy) I'll do my best to keep this thing as up to date as the free internet cafés will allow. So if you don't hear from me for awhile assume I've run out of money and can't find a free café. And if ...
Stuart, Florida, United States megan_elizabeth... donated clothing to the Salvation Army store in Sudbury and in the past two years to the Diabetics Foundation which picks up donations at our local grocery store once a month. The mall in Vero Beach has a large Goodwill store which sells donated clothing. The similarity between what we are used to in the North and this store is incredible. At first Margaret couldn't believe Pauline wanted her to go shop there but once inside they both filled shopping carts with clothes to try on ...

Jensen Beach, Florida, United States greenvanartusaWhen I got up I headed for the coast-Cocoa Beach and Canaveral Pier. I lived down here the first year out of high school so I could surf and I wanted to see some of the places I had been, especially the pier. That was a trip coming down from delaware. I hitchhiked most of the way and the only problem I had was in Daytona Beach and I'd like to insert my negative take on that place, and if I convince one ...
