Dit was het voorlopige einde aan ons verblijf in Massachussetts en we reden richting Vermont. Eerste stop was Bennington, waar we een bezoekje brachten aan Old First Church. Bij de kerk hoort ook een begraafplaats, waar Robert Frost begraven ligt. Van hieruit begonnen we een rondrit langs enkele covered bridges. Nog nooit gezien, maar in deze …

... disappearing in the distance on our left. The bridge connects the NY and VT sides of Lake Champlain and Crown Point Fort ruins, museum, state park and Champlain Lighthouse are on the end of the NY side of this new bridge. We rode our bikes from the Champlain Bridge Marina which is located on the VT side and did a self guided tour. The views ...

Even Alex noticed how inexpensive his breakfast was - only about $3.65 for the largest pancake he had ever seen.Rob joined us for the tail end of breakfast before we headed off to ...

Mallett's Bay is located on the 40 mile Island Line Trail. We biked about 12 miles of this beautiful, well maintained trail that includes waterfront and parks which connects Burlington to South Hero Island. A large portion of this trail is a former Rutland Railroad railbed (stopped running in the 1960s) which includes a very long causeway across Malletts Bay. Many people were out riding on this beautiful sunny ...

The ultimate hotel experience is dependent upon the cleanliness of the room and the bathtub in this room failed that test. I cleaned the tub before I took a shower.
