    ... t understood my 'no chili' request very well. The view from the top was very smoggy, but we did discover another platform, and a cafe where you could sit outside and enjoy the view and food.

    Spent the morning exploring Yuexiu Park were the locals were exercising, relaxing, play games, singing etc.

    I thought I'd go to the airport via subway. It was so easy and cost only a couple of dollars.

    When I boarded the plane I again found someone in my seat. The crew member found that we both had a boarding pass for the same seat. After some time, the couple of moved to the seat in front.

    I then went walk about. It was fascinating watch people go about their business. I enjoyed the unusual foods on offer along the way.

    I went into a restaurant for dinner, the staff were all excited about having a westerner in the restaurant. I was given tea and the cutlery and pressured to order before I could checkout the pictures in the menu. ...

    I had an interesting taxi ride with confusion over the destination, fare, being short changed but I got to the hotel.

    It so happened the hotel had a floor with a massage centre, I was keen on a massage but was concerned I may fall asleep, I need not have. I have had hard massages before but none like this. I was pummelled and trampled on, it was brutal, but after I felt good, maybe it was because the pummelling had ended.

    So I just made it to china! The flight from Heathrow was good (as good as it gets for economy) the plane looked new and the food wasn't too bad. Saw some amazing colours in the sky through the night, pinks and purples brighter than I have ever seen. Didn't manage to sleep much. I'm now in Guangzhou airport ...
