Our adventure is coming to an end. We will be home in about 2 hours :(. Very sad to see the end. My battery is dying so I must be brief. My God, what a beautiful and amazing country we live in!!!! Thank you to all the amazing people we met ...
... didn't flood. That would have been a major problem. A number of us parked right on the river bank were prepared last night to move just in case.
Decent crowds for the show this afternoon and although it felt weird to be done at 4pm, no one was complaining...haha. A few kids dressed up in patriotic gear and the food and drinks were appreciated by all as we crowded under the cookhouse tent since it was still raining.
While in Connecticut, we drove down to meet Lucille (Steve Carr's aunt) and David O (Phyllis's brother) in Madison (on Long island sound) and Deep River, respectively. Both were beautiful small towns, David & KC had invited the family for a BBQ and we ended up playing bocce ball and badminton. It was good to see Chelsea and Tad also.

... by to see us, and surprisingly, brought a cake to remind us of our anniversary. The kids played together, either Wii or basket ball or some other outdoor sport. Since the weather was quite nice, we went to play mini-golf.
All in all, a great visit to see Anuj and Shankar's family.
... traveling to Amherst has to try the infamous Antonios's pizza). I even ran into one of my profs from the Polymer Science dept at Starbucks and enjoyed catching up with him.
Despite the inclement weather in Amherst, it brought back good memories of graduate school and graduate life. Onward now to see some of those friends from grad ...
