Left Albuquerque at 0800 am and headed towards Clinton, Oklahoma for the night. Drove 486 miles today under bright and sunny skies. It was really windy and very chilly low 40s all day.

Stopped in Santa Rosa, New Mexico because I was curious about the Blue Hole. Not much else there, except a lot of prisoners picking up trash and a lot of …

After a stop at Braum's for Oklahoma's local ice cream, we proceeded to our interesting RV site near the Cherokee Trading Post and Cherokee Restaurant. It is mostly flat here and you can see how tornadoes get their ground. We are dodging storms all the through Oklahoma! The skies look threatening and we have rain and lightning all the way. Later we find out that they had 4300 lightning flashes in 15 minutes today. Yikes! We aren’t storm chasers (maybe storm run way-ers) and ...

... lol. Lovely lake area and the sun was sweltering. Having a great day so far loving how diverse the trip is :) It was then onwards to the national cowboy and western museum in Oklahoma, to learn all about the cowboys and Indians. I definitely think I would much prefer to be a Indian than a cow girl think they have better accessories :) really enjoyed the museum, especially the movie set area which gave you a real feel of what it would of been like in western times :) was ...

... out front with two pumps. The pumps are missing now - you can see where they were bolted down. After this we headed on to the nearby Lucille's Route 66 Roadhouse - built in the spirit of the gas station. When we pulled up here we saw where the gas pumps had been moved to. When we went inside it was set out as a 60's diner - very cool. We decided on milk shakes and to share a sandwich. We headed on and stopped at the Stafford ...
