So today was a fun day. I am still in OK. I went to the route 66 interprative museum. And then down to the round barn in Arcadia ok. The museum was ok. I don't know that it was worth the five bucks. The round barn is totally cool. It was a carpenters wet dream or a nightmare depending on how you look at things. It was built in 1898 and then rebuilt in the 1990's ...

... rain, heavy rain. There was one area that water was across the road and I couldn't tell until too late. I think it was less than a half foot deep and only about 8 feet across, but that was kind of scary. The problem is the sides of the road turn up and funnel all the water down the road to the dips. We ended up getting to Clinton a little late but still enough time to get dinner before restaurants close. Tomorrow we head through Texas and into New Mexico.

The morning in Vinita was very cool. It's nice to wake up in exactly the type of motel that you have seen in the movies as a kid. We stuck to Route 66 for the rest of the day, at least where we could. In some places, the old highway is gone and the major interstate is all there is. Lots of weird things to see.
