Left hotel after breakfast at 10 and set TomTom for San Antonio but on minor roads again. Pass through lots of small towns, a lot of the shops on the main streets seem closed - wonder where all these people work, on the land or oil fields I guess. Spent today being serious tourist - the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum which had at least a thousand animal trophies in it! A bit disturbing I must say - but it had so much more, such as the history of Texas rangers and the San Antonio history. Also did wax museum, Ripley's, 4d film thing and a trolley tour. Heading off to the Silver Spur Ranch tomorrow for a bit of cowboy ...
