... back in bright green hues. Sodden ground had caused a big tree to be uprooted on Broad Street not far away, but we were OK.

I hope that by now, most of you have arrived home safely from your Feast travels, and if not, that you will all be back by Sabbath! It was a wonderful Feast for our family, and I hope you enjoyed reading of our experiences and seeing some of the ...

Day 15 of 49 (Sep 22). Wendell suggested the title of this section of our blog (Brrr). On our travel from South to North Carolina, the temperatures dropped about 20 degrees, and it is extremely cloudy and overcast. A few days of the week were very stormy bringing much-needed rain to the area – the boys had ...

We'd been passing quite a few ponds and when we came up to another one I asked her what she thought and she said she was game. So all three of us pulled off the road, parked our bikes, undressed slightly (we were still in bras and shorts) and dove on in. The water felt absolutely fantastic. It was so wildly refreshing, I felt immediately rejuvenated. After about five minutes of swimming a woman came ...

Day 10: 82 miles to Winston Salem

Today's ride started out rough. It was one of those morning's, where, had I been at home and not had 30 other teammates counting on me to bike that day, I would have probably bailed on my ride and slept in instead. I was exhausted from two super epic build days and 82 miles with some good climbing wasn't super enticing at 545am this morning. I rolled out ...
